Single Down Quilt

Single Down Quilt

If you're looking for the best warmth-to-weight ratio on the market, you've come to the right place!

Kiwi Ultralight quilts are made in New Zealand, custom-sized to order, and filled with ethically sourced goose down of the highest quality. This is not a sleeping bag, it's the next step up in outdoor sleep systems allowing you to recreate the comfort of your bed while hiking. Quilts are open on the underside and designed to be attached to a sleeping pad or hut mattress using the included pad straps. Quilts have the advantage of being lighter than a sleeping bag of the same comfort rating (given that compressed down provides no insulation). Additionally, unlike most other companies, Kiwi Ultralight quilts are labeled by comfort rating rather than limit or extreme rating, so you're certain to be warm at the temperature listed.

Quilt Features:

- 850+ FP goose down

- Box baffle design (not sewn through, so no cold spots)

- 20% overstuff to improve the longevity of your quilt

- 10D nylon outer shell with an exceptionally soft feel

- Versatile foot box can be closed on cold nights using zip and drawstring

- Width: 140cm wide at the top and hips, tapers from 140cm to 100cm from knees to feet

- Packed dimensions 30cm long x 20cm diameter (this is still squishy and able to be compressed further within your pack or with a compression sack)

Three standard comfort ratings* and colours:

Comfort Rating = 5C, Limit Rating = -1C, Green shell

Comfort Rating = 0C, Limit Rating = -6C, Red shell

Comfort Rating = -5C, Limit Rating = -12C, Blue shell

Your purchase includes:

- Single quilt

- Stuff sack

- Storage sack

- Pad straps (Sized for inflatable pad by default, leave a note if you prefer Hut Mattress-sized straps)

*Note: Limit temperature rating is calculated based on quilt loft, approx comfort rating will depend on how you sleep and the ground insulation you use. Our comfort ratings are calculated for the average woman, male comfort ratings are up to 6C lower. We choose the higher number to ensure comfort, but this information may be useful for comparison with other products. With all sleep systems, it's critical that your pad has the proper R-value (insulation) for the season (we recommend R-value 3-4 for 3 seasons).

If you need straps for both DOC mats and sleeping pads, extra can be ordered HERE

Note: Quilts are made to order and will ship approximately 1 week after confirmation of payment.

    Height:

To choose the right sized quilt, select your height from the drop down box. Note that this measurement is your height, not the quilt length - we think the ideal length of a quilt is slightly longer than you are tall and will make it the right length based on your height. We recommend you add 12-15cm to your height if you are a stomach sleeper or sleep straight on your back to make it easier to snuggle up on colder nights.
