Ultralight tramping gear is 100% about innovation and progress towards what every hiker wants - a more comfortable and enjoyable experience in the outdoors.  More important than counting grams is the focus on simplicity and design perfection. We have articles about what ultralighting is, and what gear to consider,  in our information library. Suffice it to say that if you want the best high-performance gear, you'll find it at ultralight cottage companies like ourselves.

Is it possible to visit and see your gear? Do you have a showroom?

We don't have a showroom, and all of our big products are made to order rather than kept in stock.

However, we're happy to answer any questions that might help you make a decision, or point you to one of our stockists where you might see the product in person!

How do you source your products?

The purpose of Kiwi Ultralight is to bring top-of-the-line ultralight products to the New Zealand tramping community. We design and engineer all our products, then hand-pick globally and ethically sourced materials from the best suppliers.

Many of our products are made or customised in-house. When we can’t personally craft our products, we find expert manufacturers who can produce our designs with world-class quality.

All Kiwi Ultralight products are designed, tested, hand-checked, and approved before shipping to you.

What is your return policy?

If you're unsure if our products are right for you, get in touch with us and we can help you work through any questions or concerns you have.

We are unable to accept returns on custom products. We accept returns at the buyer's expense for brand-new, unused, stock products with all original packaging and tags.  For faulty products, we will happily accept a return or repair and meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
