Looking for the best warmth-to-weight ratio on the market? Our ultralight down quilts redefine outdoor sleep comfort. Now available in two design options to suit your style of adventure, both filled with premium, ethically sourced goose down.
This is not a sleeping bag, it's the next step up in outdoor sleep systems allowing you to recreate the comfort of your bed while hiking. Quilts are open on the underside and designed to be attached to a sleeping pad or hut mattress using the included pad straps. Quilts have the advantage of being lighter than a sleeping bag of the same comfort rating (given that the compressed down on the bottom of your sleeping bag provides no insulation). Additionally, unlike most other companies, Kiwi Ultralight quilts are labelled by comfort rating rather than limit or extreme rating, so you're certain to be warm at the temperature listed.

Quilt Design Options
Vertical Baffle Quilt:
- Made in New Zealand.
- Lightweight, simple, and highly compressible.
- Vertical box baffle construction for proven warmth and ultralight performance.
- Baffle design prevents down shifting across the width of the quilt for consistent warmth.
Hybrid Baffle Quilt:
- Assembled to our specifications by trusted specialists overseas.
- Strategic horizontal channels at key areas, plus vertical baffles elsewhere.
- A nod to our roots, the hybrid baffle design utilises a similar layout to our very first quilt run.
- Provides even more down stability, ideal for sleepers who toss and turn.
Both designs use a 10D soft-touch nylon shell and boast a versatile zip/drawstring footbox for adjustable comfort on cold nights.

What do these ratings mean?
- Comfort Rating refers to the temperature where the average user should have a comfortable night's sleep. This rating is calculated for the average woman.
- Limit Rating is based on quilt loft and represents the lowest temperature for safe sleeping, but may not ensure comfort.
- Men may find their own comfort & limit ratings up to 6°C lower than shown here, so keep this in mind when comparing with other products.
For all sleep systems, ground insulation is critical. We strongly recommend an insulated pad with an R-value of 3–4 for three-season use.
Note: Your actual sleep comfort depends on personal factors and your chosen ground insulation.
